The latest recipe craze taking over the internet is java-based and we couldn’t be more happy about it. With many of our local coffee shops shut down and our cravings for the beverage growing more intense by the day, we could all use an easy coffee drink we can make at home.

Whipped coffee is the drink everyone is talking about after a TikTok video of it went viral. Many claim that the beverage has long been popular in Asia, but gained worldwide fame after a South Korean actor posted a video of it on TikTok. Thankfully, the process is so simple and requires so few ingredients that we can all recreate it at home.

And, let’s face it…it feels a bit like a science experiment. Who would have thought that beating together coffee, sugar and water would result in a light, frothy delicacy?

While it may sound less than appetizing, we can assure you that it won’t disappoint. The original recipe requires only granulated sugar, instant coffee powder, boiling water and milk. But, if you’re a little extra like us, you can take the drink to the next level by spiking it with a shot or two of your favorite whiskey. (We recommend Fireball!) One of our favorite things about whipped coffee is that we can easily adjust it to fit our taste.

Check out the recipe and video below. Give it a try and let us know how you like it!
